Variations is a study into the performative nature of practice. By using visual scores to represent sequences of glassblowing operations, this project aims at capturing the embodied knowledge required to shape a glass piece and some of its possible iterations.
The Helsinki Series consists of five freehand glass-blown vases, the production of which gave effect to the Variations project.
